There's this new thing called "cinemagraphs" which are just animated gifs that are "classy," which is the same distinction that separates "graphic novels" from "comic books" and "action figures" from "dolls." Naturally some people are falling over themselves to herald it as a NEW ART FORM that's REINVENTING THE GIF. I just think they're hilariously tacky, like holographic baseball cards or a DVD menu. I mean, look at this. Come on.
