After giving up two years ago, I am trying to learn how to write interactive fiction again. Here’s a peek at what I’ve got so far:

Dunder Mifflin in the Lost Galaxy

An Interactive Fan Fiction

Release 1 / Serial number 091211 / Inform 7 build 5Z71 (I6/v6.31 lib 6/12N) SD

Captain’s Quarters

You’re sitting at your desk watching YouTubes on your computer.

You can see a couch (on which is a cameraman), a cabinet (closed) and a holocom here.

> inventory

You are carrying:

a space uniform (being worn)

> examine uniform

It’s a stylish gray Spandex space uniform, standard-issue.

> examine holocom

A modestly-priced holocom from Radio Shack, this particular model features a green button for accepting or initiating coms and a red button for ending or rejecting coms. A holopad is atop the device.

Suddenly, the holocom emits three beeps and a small, green hologram of Pam appears over the holopad.

> examine hologram

The hologram is a transparent three-dimensional rendering of Pam Beesly, the ship’s communications secretary (comsec). Despite the flittering quality of the small, green hologram, you can still tell she’s got a smokin’ body.

“Michael, David Wallace is on line 2,” says the hologram of Pam.

MORE TO COME…???

P.S. Everything in this post came true and now I look like an idiot. I’ll never doubt you again, tech blogs
