Awful Link of the Day: /r/EbolaHoax

At /r/EbolaHoax, moderator and sole contributor HamsterNamedFunny has been frantically aggregating links to every conspiracy article and YouTube video he can find. It’s the internet equivalent of a room filled with interconnected webs of string: Every colorful, crazy-frayed strand he pins to the wall helps expose the “EboLIE” scare for the fraud it is. Nothing gets past this guy, except the concept of satire.

While researching this one, I learned about the Georgia Guidestones, a bizarre stone monument with some guidelines for a post-apocalyptic society. Here’s a WIRED article about it from a few years ago. It sounds cool, like something out of a danged Zelda game or something.

I think the old Simpsons Butterfinger commercials are fascinating… lots of cartoony action and zippy camera movement that you don’t see in the series. I’m particularly impressed by a shot that starts from Bart’s POV inside the box of ice cream bars, then somehow twsts around above Apu in like 4 frames. Here’s a couple gifs:
